All About Us (A History)

Both Jacque and I were raised in the Houston area graduating from Bellaire High School in the late 60’s. We were married in August of 1972. I continued my education while Jacque worked. I graduated from Houston Baptist College in 1974 earning my BA Degree in Psychology and my Texas Teacher’s Certification.

Our daughter, Christa was born in 1976 and then two years later, our son Jason, who we've called ‘Jake’ came along. We lived at the ‘Beechnut’ house in Houston while I made a living in the construction business, which was quite lucrative at that time. When our children were of age to attend the public schools, we began seeking a place to live which would be more suitable to raise our children than the large city of Houston.
In 1983, I accepted a sixth grade teaching position in Brazoria county with the Columbia-Brazoria Independent School District where I stayed until summer 2004. We lived in a home in Lake Jackson untill we bought our house on the river in 2002. Jacque began working for Dr. Frank Grady as a surgical assistant in about 1986. In that period of time, she has worked surgery, clinic, and front office. We lived in the Valley from '04 until '07 where I worked for Windham School District helping the incarcerated offenders achieve their high school equivalency certificates. Now I'm retired and we're back living in the river house. Jacque is working again for Dr. Grady & I'm chillin'.

Christa is now living in Austin and working for Wayport, a technology company involved in internet services. Jake is also living in Austin with Jessica and also working at Wayport.

Jacque's mother and sistr are living in Houston and my parents are living here at the river just a few houses down the street.
